BFHS will be hosting Parent-Teacher Conference on Thursday, October 3rd. Conferences will be in the teachers classrooms from 1:30-4 p.m. and in the gym after that until 7:30 p.m. We will have tacos available to families starting at 4:15 p.m., while supplies last. Daycare for the younger kids will be available in the library from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Also, Financial Aid night for seniors and parents will be in the choir room starting at 6 p.m.

We will be hosting parent teacher conferences on Thursday, March 2, from 4-7:30 p.m. in the gym. These are “open house” style. Please stop in and visit with your student’s teachers. We will also be hosting parent teacher conferences on the morning of March 3, from 8-11:30 a.m. Teachers will be in their classrooms on this day. Please stop by the front office to check-in, then you may proceed to the teacher’s classrooms to visit about your student’s progress. Also, since we are now starting to register students for classes next fall, Mr. Caldwell and Mr. Raba are going to be holding “Academic Planning” sessions for parents and students in the main lunchroom at 4:30, 5:30, and 6:30 on Thursday, March 2. We will be covering topics such as the 4-year plan, graduation requirements, diploma endorsements, dual credit opportunities, and scholarships. Go Broncs!

On Friday, February 24, 2023, BFHS will be having its first ever Enrichment Friday! All students in grades 9-12 will need to be in school at 7:50 a.m. and will be dismissed at 2:45 p.m. Attendance will be taken like any other school day. Students will not have free periods this day and will be expected to be in school the entire day. In the morning, students will rotate through five different 40-minute sessions where teachers and presenters from the community will discuss topics such as automotive maintenance, banking, habit tracking, career readiness, mental health, internet safety, art, cooking, and more! During the afternoon, students will be involved in longer sessions (that may or may not be competitive) such as a Chopped Challenge, Graffiti Art, Dummy Roping, Dodgeball, Gaming, Cornhole, Yoga, Trivia, and Fitness! A HUGE thank you to our Youth Leadership Team for organizing this event!!!

We will have our 10th annual career fair on Thursday, February 16, 2023. All students in grades 9-12 need to report to their Bronc Time groups at 7:50 a.m. for announcements and information, and then will be escorted to the BFACC for the Career Fair. Go Broncs!!!

Art Club and the BF Public Library are teaming up to sponsor a Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Participants choose a favorite literary character or book and decorate their pumpkin accordingly. BFHS After School Program will supply the pumpkins. The pumpkins will be displayed at the BF Public Library and prizes will be awarded to the winners. Sign up in the HS Office so we can get you a pumpkin. See Buzz or Mrs. Bastian if you have any questions.

BFHS Seniors and Parents, Senior Pictures • You need to have a picture taken for the yearbook. It needs to be a vertical picture. When you get yours taken please inform your photographer to send a copy to lesa.krajewski@k12.sd.us . We can also scan the picture. We need these by December 1. • You can email photos taken with your camera or phone to lesa.krajewski@k12.sd.us If you want one of the yearbook staff to take a picture of you for the yearbook please get a hold of Mrs. Krajewski. • We also need a baby picture of you for the senior slide show. We can scan your pictures and then get them back to you. Please place your name on the back of the photos and drop all photos off in Mrs. Krajewski’s room. • You can purchase yearbooks at all parent-teacher conferences, in the office, or from Mrs. Krajewski. They are only $35 until Dec. 31, then they go to $40. They can also be bought with a credit card online on the Belle Fourche School District website under parents and Easy Pay
