Have you heard the exciting news? Our Belle Fourche High School Knowledge Bowl team had their first meet of the season over the weekend at Douglas High School, and with true Bronc hard work and determination, took first place at the meet!
During a total of one written round and four buzzer rounds with each round of sixty questions, Belle Fourche High School seniors Theodore Long and Brodie McNeese, along with sophomore Merik McNeese, stepped up to the challenge to beat out teams from Spearfish, Lead-Deadwood, Douglas, STM, and Sturgis!
The written round was scored with each question equaling a tenth of a point, while the buzzer rounds were awarded points based on who answers the most questions correctly overall. Our Belle Fourche High School Knowledge Bowl team of outstanding Broncs did our school and city proud by earning first place with 26.6 points, while two Spearfish teams earned second and third place with point scores 25.9 and 23.3. With a great start to the season already, the Belle Fourche High School Knowledge Bowl team is excited to see what this season brings next with the friendly competitive challenge of battling it out with the neighboring Spearfish teams each meet.
